Sartoria Teatrale Antonietta was founded in 1952 by the creativity of Signora Antonietta, a fashion enthusiast and lover of period costumes. Her first job was to supply costumes for the theatrical part of the film "I Vitelloni" by Federico Fellini shot at the Goldoni theatre in Florence. She began by working for revue companies making costumes of all fantasies. In the early 1960s she devoted herself to historical costumes making costumes from all eras. Antonietta's work has been handed down to the following generations who continue to carry it out with the same passion and competence.
Today, Sartoria Teatrale Antonietta makes, sells and hires costumes for historical re-enactments of all eras, plays, operas and costume films. Our tailor's shop specialises in the hire and sale of evening and formal wear. All our garments are of high quality, the cut is classic and meticulous in every detail, made of 100% pure wool and therefore suitable for both summer and winter. The garments are new or semi-new, with antifungal and antibacterial treatment. We specialise in the creation and hire of medieval costumes, renaissance costumes, eighteenth-century costumes, nineteenth-century costumes, early twentieth-century costumes, costumes for plays and operas, and carnival costumes.

The line of our attires is classic, and for the production of our attires, we use fine Italian fabrics in pure virgin wool.
Each of our attires undergoes a special antifungal and antibacterial treatment. The attires come complete with everything, except for the shoes.

Thanks to cutting-edge machinery and eighteenth-century looms, which are still functioning today, it is able to create brocades, damasks, velvets, silks and lampas that are unique in the world, satisfying the most sophisticated requests.
Creation and Reproduction
Our tailoring workshop can produce costumes from all eras. We reproduce costumes from historical sources or upon request through sketches. The costumes we produce are tailored to the client's needs and are created exclusively.
Hire Service
Additionally, our tailoring workshop can offer you the service of historical costume hire, carnival costumes, and ceremonial attires. The hire service includes fitting the costume to the person who will be using it and various accessories. All our costumes are sanitised with an antibacterial and antifungal treatment from the dry cleaner.
